Holy Mole

Halfway through our most recent semi annual ritual of making Cafe Pasqual's incredible mole we decided to start a blog to memorialize some of our best food-based memories, tried and true recipes, restaurant and travel tips and wine induced frivolity.

Our shared love of good food started in the early 80's over Linnea's Coffee Cake in downtown SLO when we were both playing hooky from our jobs as Advertising Sales Reps at The Telegram-Tribune. After almost getting busted by then editor George DeBord who also must have been playing hooky, we decided to carry our friendship out of the workplace and into the kitchen. There have been thousands of stellar meals cooked (or ordered) together since then. Ours kids have grown up knowing that what makes the world go around is a good meal, shared with friends who have seen you at your best and your worst.

So we thought we should share with you a bit of what we love so that we would seem even more self absorbed and popular than we really are.
